With the rise of labor costs, the "demographic dividend" of labor-intensive enterprises is shrinking year by year. It has become the key to the economic development of one party to demand "technological dividend" from mechanization and automation.
At present, the domestic stamping industry needs to process threaded hardware, and most manufacturers still stay in the traditional processing technology that wastes resources, such as manual tapping, automatic tapping machine, after single punching or continuous punching. The die tapping technology can cooperate with the automatic production of punch equipment to achieve the integrated production of stamping and tapping. Whether it is reducing staff, increasing efficiency or improving quality, the in mold tapping technology has brought great changes to hardware manufacturers. Figure 1 shows the working principle of the die tapping machine.
Traditional tapping production mode
The traditional tapping production mode is generally completed by single punching or automatic stamping forming process, transportation process, manual tapping or automatic tapping process, resulting in high production cost, low efficiency and no guarantee of quality consistency. The cost includes: stamping cost, handling cost and tapping cost.
Production mode of die tapping
The die tapping production mode is automatically completed by the integration of stamping "forming+tapping", with fast production speed, high efficiency and stable thread quality. The cost includes: stamping processing cost, investment in die tapping machine, which is a one-time investment cost.
Overview of in mold tapping technology
Generally speaking, materials with good plasticity, such as low carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and aluminum alloy, brass plate, red copper plate, etc., can use this method to process threads.
The type of tap used in die tapping technology is chip free extrusion tap, as shown in Figure 2. Extrusion tap is a new type of thread tool that uses the principle of metal plastic deformation to process internal threads. It has no cutting edge and chip groove, but has one or more lubricating oil grooves. The shape of the tap is multi diamond, which is a chip free processing technology. The surface finish of the thread extruded with the extrusion tap is high, the metal fiber of the thread does not break, and a cold hard layer is formed on the surface, which can improve the strength and wear resistance of the thread. The utility model fundamentally solves the problem of difficult chip removal in tapping, and is more conducive to the assembly of threads because of no chip removal. When tapping, it does not need to cut metal, but forms thread through metal plastic flow, so its diameter is larger than the minor diameter of the thread, and the extruded thread tooth shape is U-shaped.
